    Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Our journey begins in Marrakech, where we set off towards the majestic High Atlas Mountains. As we ascend the winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), stunning panoramic views of valleys and Berber villages unfold before us. Along the way, we stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most well-preserved ksars (fortified villages). This ancient village has served as the backdrop for famous movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

After exploring the historical kasbah, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here, we visit the Taourirt Kasbah and, if time permits, the Atlas Film Studios.

Our journey proceeds through the breathtaking Valley of Roses, where local cooperatives produce rose-based beauty products. Finally, we arrive in the Dades Valley, home to the striking Monkey Fingers rock formations. We settle in for the night at a traditional guesthouse or hotel, enjoying a warm Moroccan dinner.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

After breakfast, we drive through the scenic Dades Valley, passing charming Berber villages before reaching the Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon with towering rock walls over 300 meters high. This area is a paradise for hikers and climbers, with crystal-clear streams running through the rugged terrain.

Continuing east, we traverse the vast Ziz Valley, a lush oasis with thousands of date palm trees. Our adventure takes us to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, before arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes.

As the sun begins to set, we embark on a camel trek deep into the golden sands of the Sahara Desert. Our expert guides lead us to a traditional Berber camp, where we experience an authentic night under the starry sky. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner accompanied by live Berber music, and immerse yourself in the magic of the desert.

    Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Midelt

Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the Sahara, an experience that will remain etched in your memory forever. After breakfast at the camp, we return to Merzouga on camels or by 4×4 vehicle.

Next, we visit the lively market town of Rissani, where we explore traditional souks selling spices, textiles, and local handicrafts. This historic town is known for its Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty.

Continuing our journey north, we pass through Errachidia, a modern city with impressive palm groves. We then drive along the scenic Ziz Gorges, marveling at the lush landscapes before reaching Midelt, a town nestled in the foothills of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Here, we enjoy a relaxing evening at our hotel, preparing for the final leg of our adventure.

Day 4: Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes

On our last day, we travel through the breathtaking Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at the famous Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the Barbary macaque monkeys. These friendly primates are a delight to observe in their natural habitat.

Our journey continues to Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its Alpine-style architecture and clean, orderly streets. A brief stop allows us to admire the town’s charm before we proceed to our final destination—Fes.

Arriving in Fes, we conclude our unforgettable 4-day tour from Marrakech, having experienced the best of Morocco’s landscapes, history, and culture. This journey offers a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion, making it an ideal trip for travelers seeking an authentic Moroccan experience.
