    Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Departure from Fes and Visit to Ifrane

We begin our journey early in the morning, departing from the ancient city of Fes, known for its rich history and labyrinthine medina. Our first stop is Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco due to its European-style architecture and snow-capped winters. This picturesque town offers a refreshing break from the bustling streets of Fes.

Journey Through the Middle Atlas Mountains

As we continue, we pass through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where the breathtaking scenery of cedar forests and rolling hills captivates every traveler. A stop in Azrou allows us to interact with the friendly Barbary macaques in the cedar forest before proceeding to Midelt, a charming town known as the apple capital of Morocco, where we pause for lunch.

Ziz Valley and Arrival in Merzouga

The journey continues through the Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and stunning canyon views. We drive through the vast expanses of the Sahara Desert before reaching Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi await.

Camel Trekking and Overnight in the Desert

Upon arrival in Merzouga, we switch to camelback for an enchanting trek into the dunes, witnessing the spectacular sunset over the Sahara. Our evening is spent at a traditional Berber desert camp, where we enjoy authentic Moroccan cuisine, listen to traditional music, and sleep under the star-lit sky in a luxurious desert tent.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorges – Dades Valley

Sunrise in the Sahara and Breakfast in Merzouga

We wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, an experience that will be etched in memory forever. After breakfast at the desert camp, we ride our camels back to Merzouga before heading towards Rissani, a historic town known for its traditional souks and historical significance as the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty.

    Exploring the Todgha Gorges

Our journey continues to the Todgha Gorges, an awe-inspiring natural wonder featuring towering canyon walls that reach up to 300 meters in height. This is a popular spot for rock climbing and an ideal place for capturing incredible photographs of the rugged Moroccan landscape.

Dades Valley: The Land of a Thousand Kasbahs

From the gorges, we drive towards Dades Valley, often referred to as the Land of a Thousand Kasbahs. The scenic route offers views of dramatic rock formations, lush oases, and charming Berber villages. We spend the night in a traditional kasbah hotel, where we enjoy a warm dinner and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

    Scenic Drive to Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we set off towards Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Morocco, known for its iconic film studios where movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed. A visit to the Taourirt Kasbah, a former fortress of the Glaoui dynasty, provides deep insights into Morocco’s rich history.

Ait Ben Haddou: A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Our next stop is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified village that showcases Morocco’s finest mud-brick architecture. This ancient ksar has served as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood films and remains one of the most famous landmarks in the country.

Crossing the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech

The final leg of our journey takes us through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco. The winding roads offer breathtaking panoramic views, and we make occasional stops to capture stunning landscapes and visit traditional Berber villages.

    Arrival in Marrakech

As we descend into the plains, the vibrant Red City of Marrakech welcomes us with its bustling souks, majestic palaces, and lively atmosphere. The tour concludes as we drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of an unforgettable 3-day adventure from Fes to Marrakech.
